East Beach is a new community on Norfolk’s Chesapeake Bay that draws upon Eastern Shore building and town planning practices to create a unique coastal village rooted in the traditions of the region. It is intentionally and distinctly Tidewater in feeling, from its overall layout and landscape design to the details of its buildings, pathways and parks.
Hurt & Proffitt has been involved in the multiple phases of this project under contract with Abiouness, Cross, & Bradshaw, Inc. Survey tasks have included setting of lot corners and lines, grades for streets and alleys, locating building foundation , alignment of irrigation systems and stakeout of all utilities needed to service the many homes, condominiums, and townhouses of this unique development. Our on-going participation in the construction of this new neighborhood is a great source of pride for the company.
