Throughout the construction phase of a project, quality control must be performed in order to have a successful project, not only for the owner’s sake but also for public interest. Hurt & Proffitt’s field staff has the experience, qualifications, and intangibles necessary to perform thorough and accurate inspection and testing services. We are regularly audited and recertified in our field of expertise and have in house continuing education for all of our field staff.
Our materials testing laboratory is validated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and we participate in the AASHTO Materials Reference Laboratory quality control testing. Hurt & Proffitt’s laboratory and field testing equipment includes seven nuclear density gauges, lab equipment for soils and concrete testing, permeability testing, soil classifications, CBR tests, soil compressive strength testing, particle size analysis for soil and aggregate, organic impurities test equipment, and much more.
