Hurt & Proffitt joined up with a Winston-Salem, NC-based architectural firm for the design of a new Virginia Museum of Natural History, located in Martinsville, VA. This museum was estimated at $12 million and the building totals 89,000 SF. It is situated on approximately 3.1 acres in an urban setting. Hurt & Proffitt provided the civil, environmental, geotechnical engineering, site planning, and surveying for the project.
