Hurt & Proffitt provided survey, civil engineering and geotechnical engineering services for this 87,000 three story medical office building which includes a parking area to accommodate 459 parking spaces. Hurt & Proffitt worked with the owner, architect and contractor to develop the schematic site layout of building parking and site infrastructure. Project responsibility also included grading, erosion and sediment control design of water, sanitary sewer and stormwater infrastructure including stormwater quality and quantity design. Other services included the design of Atherholt Road for the City of Lynchburg to accommodate the site development. Other in-house services provided on the project were topographic survey base mapping, geotechnical subsurface investigation, construction administration, construction stake-out, environmental permitting and materials testing.
