Hurt & Proffitt marked approximately thirty miles of boundary line along the length of Short Hills Mountain in Rockbridge and Botetourt Counties. The 4,200 acre parcel had been recently purchased by VDGIF based on a recent plat but the boundary lines of the parcel had not been marked in accordance with DGIF standards. Survey crews spent the better part of three months blazing, painting and signing the thirty miles of boundary line so that the parcel could be opened as a Wildlife Management Area.
