Wyndhurst Traditional Neighborhood Development

Wyndhurst is a 450 acre Traditional Neighborhood Development within Lynchburg designed to house approximately 6,500 people at completion. Hurt & Proffitt has been involved in the project since its conception during the mid-90’s with JE Jamerson.

Hurt & Proffitt prepared the initial master plan, including all preliminary layouts, plats, individual site designs, and landscape plans for the entire project, with input from the developers for Town Center, The Summit and surrounding neighborhoods. Overall services included: site development, surveying (topo, boundary, subdivision, ALTA, construction stakeout, wetlands), geotechnical, stormwater management, utility infrastructure, roadway design for the extensive series of road throughout the development, landscape architecture, and construction administration/ inspection. Also prepared environmental phase 1 site assessment, environmental permitting, master planning, infrastructure (road, water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer) design, platting, wetland delineation, mitigation plan, and funding applications.
