Farmington Subdivision – Phase I and II

Farmington at Forest is a new residential development on approximately 300 acres. The project was divided into two phases. Phase I of Farmington constructed 8,000 LF of VDOT roads, paving, sidewalks, curb and gutter, underground utilities, and landscaping for and 156 single family residents, Phase II of Farmington constructed six (6) VDOT roads and approximately 140 single family residents and five (5) sections of multi-family housing, paving, sidewalks, curb and gutter, underground utilities, and landscaping. Phase I of this new subdivision involved the design of water and sewer system that included 9,000 LF water line, 1,200 LF of 8″ gravity sewer, and 5,500 LF of low pressure force main. Phase II of the project involved the design of water and sewer system that included 16,750 LF water line (12,” 8″, 6″, & 4″), 22,700 LF of gravity sewer (12″ & 8″), 3,700 LF force main (6″), and a 0.66 MGD sanitary sewer pump station.

Hurt & Proffitt provided topographic survey, site design, erosion and sediment control planning, stormwater design, utility design, project management, and construction administration.  Environmental phase 1 site assessment, environmental permitting, master planning, infrastructure (road, water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer) design, platting, wetland delineation, mitigation plan, and funding applications were also prepared.
